In a conformation dog show, dogs are judged by a standard against breed specific characteristics such as size, color, gait and temperament. first dogs must compete with others in the same race, before going to compete with dogs of other breeds in that group, eventually to be considered for Best in Show – which means they are the best in the best of this particular event .
