Dog adoption event set next weekend
Camp Bow Wow Agoura Hills, along with Labs and Buddies Rescue, will host a dog adoption event from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28.
This month’s adoption will include Labrador retriever mix puppies from two litters who are between 4 and 5 months old, and Princess Diana, a purebred black Lab between 2 and 3 years old.
The adoption will take place at Camp Bow Wow, 29348 Roadside Drive.
Trainer Pete Rodrigues of K9 101 will be available to answer questions and offer basic advice and training tips. Labs and Buddies Rescue, although passionate about black Labrador retrievers, helps dogs of all breeds, colors and ages. Founded by Laura Portillo, Labs and Buddies Rescue believes every dog deserves a loving, caring family.

Classes to teach on tai ji chuan
Classes in tai ji chuan, a martial art and exercise practiced in China for centuries, will be offered on Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. from Jan. 31 through Feb. 28 at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road.

Square dancing planned this month
The Boots and Slippers Square Dance Club will hold its January Plus Dance on Jan. 28 at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi.
Rounds will begin at 7:30 p.m. The caller will be Ken Bower. Cindy Mower will cue. Cost is $5 and includes refreshments.
E-waste event scheduled Jan. 28
Royal High School’s music department will hold an e-waste event in the school’s west parking lot, 1402 Royal Ave. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 28
Acceptable items include computers, monitors, cellphones, televisions, stereos, printers, laptops, fax machines and scanners.
Band students will unload your donated/unneeded items.
