CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Sheriff’s Department has released dash cam video of the chase and capture of Timothy McManus.
The video shows police trying to use stop sticks to blow out McManus’ tires and end the chase. Gunfire can also be heard.
Once McManus is stopped, video shows police dragging McManus out of his vehicle and punching him.
McManus is on the ground when the K-9 officer is set upon him. The officer controlling the dog pets the dog’s back, while the dog attacks McManus.
