Savannah-Chatham police on Tuesday charged the 43-year-old man who allegedly kept 71 dogs in his home with 123 city ordinance violations, including 71 counts of animal neglect.
On Sunday, police removed the dogs from the home, located on East 33rd Street near Habersham Street, after a neighbor complained.
Daniel Golden was cited but not arrested. Charges include creating a nuisance, violating the city’s sanitation ordinance, 50 counts of having unvaccinated animals and 71 counts of animal neglect. Only dogs older than four months had to be vaccinated, police spokeswoman Gena Moore
